Tiling is judged on straight lines and even grout, but it fails on preparation. A site that explains substrates, tanking and movement joints wins the customers who have been let down once already.
What your customers check first
They have seen a cracked grout line and want to know why
Your website will show your tiling room by room, close enough that someone can judge the cuts and the grout lines, with a quote request beside it.
Do you prepare the substrate properly
Backer boards, priming, levelling and decoupling membranes. This is invisible once tiled and it is exactly why one tiler is half the price of another. Explaining it justifies your quote before you give it.
Can you do a wet room
Tanking, falls to the drain and the guarantee on the waterproofing. A leaking wet room is a ceiling repair downstairs, so customers are right to ask, and many tilers avoid the work entirely.
Can you handle large format tiles
Anything over 600mm needs levelling systems, a flatter substrate and often two people. Customers buying large porcelain have usually been told this by the tile shop and are checking whether you know it.
What does it cost per square metre
A rate for walls, for floors, and the extras — underfloor heating, mosaics, cutting around awkward features. Tiling prices by area more cleanly than most trades, so there is little excuse for hiding it.

Smaller, quicker, and frequently the job that introduces a new customer. Often booked alongside a kitchen fitter, so it is worth being findable by them as well as by homeowners.
Floor tiling and underfloor heating
Larger areas and higher value, with the added complication of heating systems and movement joints. Being clear you tile over underfloor heating properly brings in work others turn down.
Commercial tiling
Shops, salons, kitchens and washrooms, often out of hours to a deadline. A different buyer, different scheduling and steadier volume than domestic work.
